We transferred from hosting our own site to using a Hubspot page. We have been trying to go “live” all week and have finally gotten things to somewhat work.
How do we get our Hubspot page that has the “/” to not have it so that when we enter www.sccodeworks.com and it works? This has NOT been a smooth process at all. Help!
Hi @Steffanie_B I don’t think it is related to the / vs no / but it looks like it might be your language settings.
If your website is only in one language, you can turn this toggle off to resolve the issue.
Go to settings(icon upper right)>Tools>Website>Domains & URLs. Click language settings and there’s a toggle switch “Enable language specific redirects”. It needs to be in the off position.
This is something that has come up in quite a few threads with issues publishing the website. If you’re new to HubSpot, it’s easy to misunderstand, but it is basically creating a /en or /en-us version of your website which is what’s causing the root domain not to work properly.
Let me know if this doesn’t solve it and we can check a few other things.
The difference between the URLs that are working and the URLs that are not working is actually the www. subdomain, and not the slashes at the end of the URLs. It looks like you need to set up a redirect from www.sccodeworks.com to sccodeworks.com. Please note that you’ll want to set up a dynamic URL redirect so that if someone were to try to go to www.sccodeworks.com/about they would be redirected to sccodeworks.com/about.
