Wondering if you have anyone has evern solved the need to track Slack Messages as Activity against HubSpot Contacts?
Essentially, I want to be able to see/track contact engagement/activity beyond just email and phone calls. I want Slack messages sent to be logged as an activity.
The long term goal here is to also use this alongside the OrgChartHub integration for activity heat mapping.
I am going to gather this will be a custom build - but hoping someone else has solved this?
Hey @RHudman this isn’t possible at the moment. Slack doesn’t really have a way to track messages inside it. There’s not really an “identifier” to associate a slack user to a HubSpot contact. I would imagine even for this to happen all users would need to authorise the HubSpot app too.
It might be possible to do a user search and association through a custom integration however using something like the contacts api, but this isn’t possible out of the box.

Logging slack conversations as an activity in not possible out of box with the native Slack integration.
However, you could try out a solution like Sidekick that allows you to log slack conversation as a Note to a HubSpot contact. I’m assuming you’re trying to log slack conversations that happen with prospects via a Slack connect channel where you also have prospects/external users? If that is the case, Sidekick should work well for you.
