HubSpot <> Salesforce sync question

Hi All,

I am setting the connector from Salesforce to HubSpot.

We have an integration user that has View all for all accounts in Salesforce, and the sharing settings is set in salesforce that if I can view an account, I can view all related contacts (Controlled by Parent).

Now, I don’t want that contacts records from salesforce (that the integration user can access), will be created in HubSpot.

Will this setting prevent it?:

Yes, the setting you are referring to will prevent any new leads or contacts that are created by Salesforce from being created in Hubspot. Based on your settings, if the contact is later created in Hubspot, it will attempt to match it to an existing lead/contact or create a new record if it does not believe it to be a match.
