Hi Emma. This may sound like a silly question, but have you tested this? I haven’t experienced that the pane needs to be pinned open in order to track and log. It just needs to have the settings correct, and the user must be singed into HubSpot (which I do in a different tab to make sure I stay signed in) for the tracking and logging to work. But since the article says it needs to be pinned, I could very well be wrong. If that’s the case, I’d suggest posting this in the ideas forum here. The product team monitors those pretty closely.
Yes I have tried that, I have played around with various options / settings but the pane needs to be open and pinned to automatically log and track emails when composing.
