HubSpot Outlook integration for MAC users

Please :folded_hands::folded_hands:

There’s virtually no way to auto-forward on Mac + Google short of forcing everyone on our team to use Chrome.

I can’t believe this is still an issue in 2022 - Please integrate with Apple Mail ASAP.

@FSande I’m wondering the exact same thing!

We are currently working through changes in the business where I work, to imbed the behaviour to use a CRM initially within sales and then throughout the company.

When constantly questioned on the suitability of HubSpot vs its major competitor, due to the limitations of the platform for Mac users, lacking core features, ultimately makes the internal Hubspot Advocate/evangelist look like a fool and reduces Director buy-in to it as a suitable platform which undermines the changes that are trying to be achieved throughout the business - its a spiral.

Hubspot is basically handing reluctant users a reason not to use the platform, which ultimately will reduce Hubspot’s revenue when it is inevitably declared not fit for purpose by wider stakeholders.

I’m getting very close to moving our company off hubspot to another CRM that integrates with Apple Mail. I appreciate that Threads has a workaround, but that’s another monthly cost which grows as email volume data increases. We’re already paying for Hubspot so it should integrate directly with Apple Mail. I’m blown away that Hubspot is missing the mark on this. So much time wasted trying to figure this out. Super frustrating. Should be a simple integration.

@TMacleod appreciate your frustration  I belive the issue is down to the fact that Apple does not provide any supportfor third-party developers to create add-ons for Apple Mail rather than a HubSpot development issue. However, if you decide to use our workaround, our monthly cost will only increase if you choose not to delete emails after they have been imported to HubSpot. Our basic plans include 25GB of data which usually provides most of our subscribers with plenty of storage.

Hey there, thanks for the reply :slightly_smiling_face: despite Apple not providing support, I’m wondering how some other CRM’s have been able to integrate with Apple Mail, but Hubspot can’t - ? The workaround we’re speaking of with Threads… that costs me an additional monthly charge to Threads which increases as the date usage grows. Unless i’m missing something there? I’m in the process of trying to get Threads set up to test it, and unfortuantely their platform also feels a little glitchy / slow.

I was ā€œokā€ to try Threads and maybe eat the cost of it. The cost would be worth it to me for the time it saves. However, I didn’t complete signing up for Threads because it requires my email password! That’s absurd…it should be using the standard app authentication mechanism everyone else uses that does not require them to have and store my password. Threads - you need to fix that!!

@radicalrob if you don’t want to share your password (which we understand!) then we do support app-specific passwords. Feel free to drop us a line and we can help you get started.

We were about to upgrade our package with Hubspot but my business partner and I both use Mac Mail which doesn’t integrate so we most likely won’t upgrade.

We’ve just started using HubSpot and teh whole team use Macs. We use Outlook for Mac but our emails aren’t hosted by Office 365 which means we now can’t track all emails sent and received via Outlook against a contact record in HubSpot. This is extremely frustrating as we were able to do this via our last CRM and wouldn’t have signed up to HubSpot if we had known this wasn’t possible. Extremely frustrating.

Familiar with HubSpot, at my last firm HS integrated with G-suite which was nice and seamless. I was hopeful that the email integration would connect with Outlook on my desktop. Unfortunately, it doesn’t and I’m disappointed.

Wow …why is this not an option…r u waiting for Mac users to dissapear?

I totally agree with @freddy2307. We use gmail and Macs, but I don’t like the gmail web client and I do also not want to use browser based emailing ā€œOutlook/Office 365ā€ etc. So please: fully fletched integration with the Outlook desktop version on Macs while having mail hosted by google/gmail.

It’s absolutely ridiculous that HubSpot does not work on Outlook for Mac or Mac Mail. Ridiculous. They have been saying they are looking at it for 5+ years. We moved from SalesforceIQ (no longer exists) and they had this feature working perfectly. I guess HubSpot don’t really care about their CRM product much, it’s all about their overpriced marketing products.

I searched for HubSpot Sales for Mac, only to see it doesn’t support the new Outlook for Mac. Please HubSpot, update your game in this area for Mac users!

One more vote for Outlook for Mac intigration.

My colleague helped me solve the problem – switch off New Outlook on the top right.
Be safe, and relax in the current 3rd COVID wave.

I recently moved from a Windows machine to a Mac (wow the M1 is fast). My company uses Gmail but I use Outlook because the Gmail client interface **bleep**, particularly when doing lots of professional communication (anyone who has received an email with copy/paste in gmail knows what i am talking about). Unfortunately to my horror, this combination is not supported Install HubSpot Sales for Gmail, Office 365, and Outlook desktop | Knowledge Base… basically I would like Outlook desktop add-in to work with outlook on a Mac.

I’ve sent a few hundred emails and all are essentially lost bc of the lack of syncing with the ā€œNewā€ Outlook for Mac. I wish I had been alerted to this lack of syncing when I was able to download the plugin in the new outlook.

I much prefer the interface and functionality of the New Outlook for Mac, but I will now have to stay in the ā€œOldā€ Outlook for Mac to be able to sync my emails with Hubspot. Seems like a move backward.

HUBSPOT - NOT COMPATIBLE WITH O365 OUTLOOK FOR MAC - PLEASE FIX!!

Background

Microsoft released O365 version Outlook for Mac in September 2020.

Issues - Hubspot not compatible with O365 Outlook for Mac

We’ve been following up and chasing Hubspot for over 14 months, trying to troubleshoot with ongoing issues with not being able to use Outlook for Mac for sending/receiving emails and tracking and Hubspots features within Outlook and Hubspot. HubSpot have only just now, 14 months later, advised us that hat HubSpot is NOT compatible with Outlook for Mac that was released Sept 2020. Its been 14 months since Microsoft released Of365 Outlook for Mac, and its hard to fathom, that Hubspot, after 14 months and lots of its own devoted Hubspot users been screaming out to release its own Hubspot extension so that it can be compatible, that there seems to be no plans whatsover by Hubspot to make and Microsoft O365 Outlook for Mac compatitible.

Any update?
