Could you please consider making an outlook desktop add-on for MAC? It would be extremely helpful for all of us Mac-users. So fare it only works with the online version of outlook and thats just not good enough considering Hubspot is such a great platform.

A desktop outlook add-in for Mac (like what they have for PC) - is this in the works?
Do we know what the problem with Outlook desktop on Mac’s is? We operate strictly on Mac devices and use Office 365. The inability to keep the pin the Hubspot Sales Tools add in through outlook.com is a major downfall and slows down the automation and tracking Hubspot was intended for.
Is there confirmation from anyone at HubSpot that this is true?
The Outlook plugin for Mac doesn´t work correctly or as expected while in Windows the experience is smoother.
So far I have heard similar feedback from colleagues using Mac (same as multiple comments seen in different entries from the community(i.e: here)
- The sidebar needs to be open in order to log or track an email.
- Even after being pinned, the sidebar doesn’t open by default.
- Reduced overall Performance (CPU consumption mostly)
- Increases the default font size from Outlook in some cases
It would be great to know if there are any ongoing efforts for improvement.

Another Mac user here. Why is the MacOS Hubspot mail plugin not a thing?
I am a HubSpot customer and business owner running an Exchange platform for MS Outlook, Office, etc. I and one other in our office work on a Mac. We purchased a Sales Pro + Marketing subscription and learned too late that the Outlook Desktop Sales Add-in tool will not work on a Mac. (Not unless you use the Office 365 version and switch to Office 365 hosting. Not an option for our little enterprise.) Not only do I have to manually bcc or forward correspondence to the HubSpot CRM … my prospects cannot “see” openings in my Outlook calendar. I am the principal closer of sales opportunities, which makes this issue critical for us. As far as your suggestion in the blue box to include “examples of other places or products who have this feature …” I guess my answer would be “everywhere else.”

The HubSpot Sales Outlook Add In was last updated in March 2020 and no longer works with the latest version of Outlook. In order to maintain the add in we have had to revert back to the legacy version of Outlook for MAC, are there plans to update the add in to work with the latest version of Outlook on MAC?

In deploying Hubspot throughout our Microsoft 365 tenant which we access via the Outlook web portal and the Outlook for Mac app, it appears that email tracking in Hubspot can only happen when the Hubspot Sales add-in is visible, which requires a user intervention upon the first launch of either Outlook instance. There are also instances where the Hubspot add-in obscures part of the Outlook UI and so a user maybe forced to close the Hubspot Sales add-in to use Outlook.
Having seen the email tracking option appear as an inline option in new Gmail messages, would it be possible to see similar execution on the Microsoft platform? It would help to avoid the possibility of users sending emails, potentially forgetting to open Hubspot before sending, leading to not having messages tracked.
@SocialChangeAS The UI of the Hubspot plug-in for Outlook is currently not configurable.
Understood - Hubspot Supportm confirmed this as being by design and thus recommended I raise this change as an idea. Obscuring sections of an applications UI can’t be best practice, plus having lesser functionality in one email client versus another isn’t a great look either, so I’m hoping Hubspot can tweak their add-in a little.

This idea was posted almost 6 years ago!!! and till now Hubspot couldn’t do that!! That is really bad. It’s much harder using Hubspot for mac. I think it’s time to replace Hubspot. Thank you for caring
I’ve just spent time on a chat with support only to be run around in circles about the issue. Then just found this thread. Thanks. Shocking that this is still an issue after so many years. Hope a solution is worked out soon.
