Hey Hubspotters,
My company needs a HubSpot IT whiz to help me completely re-vamp our HubSpot. I am the “Sales Operations Manager” (only been here one month) and have a Salesforce heavy background with B2B experience. I can talk sales and funnel design, but I lack the deep knowledge of HubSpot. We have an open role to be my IT partner, designing our portal to match the sales cycle and the intricacies of our business. We have a HubSpot-based website, ZoomInfo integration, and a custom ERP that has some integrations with HubSpot but we need to get more integration. We need to build marketing and email sequences, tighten up our paid ads attribution, build reports and dashboards so the executive team can see sales as they happen, hold reps accountable for their leads and deals, turn cold leads into warm ones, integrate with both inside and outside sales, and keep improving.
There is a TON of work to be done here, and I’m jumping head first in. Need someone to jump in with me.

This is a lot to take on solo one month into the role, especially with
an ERP integration in the mix, that’s usually where things get messy
fast if it’s not sequenced right.
One thing worth prioritizing early: get the executive-visible reporting
and dashboards built before tackling the deeper integration and lead-
scoring work. It buys you credibility and clarity fast, and it forces
you to nail down what “sales as it happens” actually means for your
team before you build automation on top of a shaky foundation.
I’m certified Hubspot professional with solid experience of over 6 years. We work as a fractional revops team on a monthlhy management retainer starting from $1500/month.
let me know if you’re open to work with a remote fractional team for a monthly retainer?
Here’s a specific document outlining our approach, expertise, expertise, and case studies.

Coming from Salesforce you’ll adapt fast, the mental model is similar even if the naming differs. A few things worth knowing before you or your new hire dive in:
Get your data model and pipeline right before building reports. Nail down deal stages that actually map to your sales cycle, set stage entry/exit criteria, and decide which properties are required at each stage. Reports and dashboards are only as good as the discipline behind that, so don’t rush to dashboards first.
For “sales as they happen” and rep accountability, the standard tools are deal stage funnel reports, sales activity reports, and a leaderboard-style dashboard filtered by owner. Forecasting works off deal amount, close date and stage probability, so those three need to be clean or the forecast is noise.
On the ERP side, be realistic: HubSpot’s native integrations and Operations Hub with programmable automation cover a lot, but a custom ERP usually means custom API work or a middleware layer. Scope that separately from the CRM cleanup, they’re different skill sets.
One tip for the hire: someone strong in Operations Hub and the API will pay off more than a pure marketing person given everything you listed. Happy to answer specifics if you hit a wall on the reporting or pipeline setup.
I’ve literally done this dozens of times. Worth a 15 min call so I can learn more?
We’re looking for a full time team member, in person in Houston, TX
Hi, I’ve sent you a personal message regarding this opportunity. Kindly check your DMs when you get a chance. I’d be happy to discuss how I can support your HubSpot and RevOps needs.
Sounds like a great opportunity for someone with strong HubSpot and CRM integration experience. There’s a lot to tackle, but also a great chance to build the system properly from the ground up.
