Hi all, for those of us who switched to HubSpot from Salesforce, what is the equivalent of Salesforce Queues in HubSpot?
Hi @alexagatiss ,
My understanding of Salesforce queues is that they are used to distribute records/tasks amongst users. Is taht correct?
If so, the task queues tool in HubSpot is pretty similar. One thing to note is that only tasks associated to records can be distributed to users in a queue format - not the records themselves.
Hope this helps!

Hi @LouiseHare , Thanks for getting back to me! Yeah, the idea was are hoping to recreate with HubSpot is to be able to upload leads into a location where they can be distributed to account reps and don’t automatically become contacts. We go to a lot of trade shows, and not all of the information we come back with is from qualified leads, so it would be nice if we could prevent them from coming in immediately like they would in an import.
Almost like how HubSpot collects data on companies that visit the website, and then they are listed in almost like a holding place where and you have the option to make them contacts. Otherwise, they just stay in the queue. We are hoping for that but for leads we receive from trade shows.
So, the main part we are trying to bring over is the distributing records part. So, what you’re saying is HubSpot doesn’t have this functionality?
Hi @alexagatiss ,
Thanks for the further explanation.
There is a Leads functionality in HubSpot but it is different to the one that is in Salesforce. Every Lead is associated to Contact and/or Company record in HubSpot. You manage these Leads through to qualification when a Deal is created. You can read more about the Leads tool here.
You can distribute records though, yes. You can do this via workflows for either Leads or Contacts. You simply select the action ’ Rotate record to owner’ in the workflow and choose the users you want the records to rotate between. Again you can read more on this under the ‘Assign owners via workflows’ section of this article.
Hope this helps!
