Hi all,

I have submitted an email template to Hubspot, at the time of submission i have used Banner image as background image, this is the template

After the verification HS team have mentioned “Many email clients do not support background-image. Please replace with absolute positioned image.”

Now i have changed it by using absolute positioned image. for the desktop view its working fine but for responsive views, mobile views its now working, the image worked but its not possible to align the text without a css(media quries) as we cant load a seperate css for Email template

1. how can i align it propery on responsive views?

2. will the positioned css works on all email templates??

Emails can be pain to design. CSS support varies by email client. background images as well as postion are not supported by Outlook. I not sure why they suggest another option thats not supported by some email clients. I printed [CSS Support Guide for Email Clients [+Checklist] | Campaign Monitor](https://www.campaignmonitor.com/css/) on 11x17 paper and have it on my wall. It comes in handy when trying to see if something is going to work or not.

Hi @ndwilliams3 Thanks for the reply

To add on to @ndwilliams3’s great response, in this case, adding

`max-width 100%; text-align center`

to the image module **inline** should resolve most responsiveness issues. [This article outlines](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/email-user-guide-v2/how-to-create-and-edit-your-email-template#7-unique-customizations) the possibilities of CSS customization in your template or email. I hope this helps!

,

i have used

`max-width 100%; text-align center`

but its bot working for me. images are already working, but the problem is for the absoluted texts over the images. on mobile view its not able to align the perticular texts propely

@subin though this might be outside of the realm of what I/Support can help with, if you PM me a link to the email in your portal (i.e. [https://app.hubspot.com/email/[HUBID]/edit-beta/[EMAILID](https://app.hubspot.com/email/%5BHUBID%5D/edit-beta/%5BEMAILID)]), I can take a closer look. Thanks!
