Hi there, I used the Hubspot Email Signature generator tool and at face value, it works and looks great when the email signature is generated.
However, when I “Copy Email Signature” and paste it into Outlook.com. it does not align the icons correctly. I then move it manually in the email signature and save.
When it sends from Outlook Application to Gmail or Outlook online, it cuts off the Icons and also places hyperlinkson the icons. I have been plling my hair out to try and resolve this issue. Please help as I dont think the code is faulty, it must be an issue between the vaious types of email client?
Hey @DvanDyk3 it’s good to note that the email signature generator is really just a marketing tool as oppsoed to an official HubSpot “Tool”, meaning it gets a lot less love than the tools in the app.
It’s also not that the code is “faulty” it’s just that different mail clients render HTML code in very different ways, it’s why marketing email design is so tricky. Unfortunately the email signature tool just spits out HTML code to be used across platforms, with the same code for all. It doesn’t take into account how each client will handle this HTML, so it does take a bit of updating the code to get it more consistent across email clients.
Thank you TomM2. Are you suggesting that the application includes a similar tool that could offer an improved experience and potentially ensure correct rendering across all email clients? If so, could you please be so kind as to advise where I can find it?
There’s not at the moment unfortunately no! I just meant it to outline why the signature generator doesn’t have the same amount of support the HubSpot app tools have.
