HubSpot Contracts are now open to your tech stack

Contracts API (Public Beta — August 3)

Following the Price Books and Payment Links API releases earlier this summer, HubSpot’s Contracts API is now in public beta! Developers can now create and manage contracts programmatically, connecting Revenue Hub’s Contract engine to the external systems, quoting tools, and workflows your team already relies on.

What is it? Developers can now create, update, and manage HubSpot Contracts programmatically via the Contracts API. A contract tracks the full lifecycle of a buyer relationship over time: terms of service, pricing, duration, purchased line items and more. It is the source of truth for your relationship with your customer. This new API gives developers access to that source of truth and its business logic independent of HubSpot’s UI. Also supported: programmatic change Quote creation within an existing Contract, enabling mid-term changes or renewal workflows without manual rep intervention!

Why does it matter? Until now, bringing contract data into HubSpot required going through a Revenue Hub Quote. The API extends that and gives teams using external CPQ tools, ERP systems, or third party contract data a programmatic path into HubSpot’s contract engine with or without a Quote.

Direct create and edit capabilities in the UI coming soon!
