Hi all.
My first post, so hoping it’s in the right spot. I have been scouring the internet and having chats with HubSpot Support for weeks.
Our HubSpot (HS) x NetSuite (NS) sync is set up as follows:
Sales Rep (NS) <--> Company owner (HS)
We have had massive trouble with this, with many of our records created in HubSpot throwing the following error:
"This record didn’t sync because of a NetSuite error.
You do not have permissions to set a value for element salesrep due to one of the following reasons: 1) The field is read-only; 2) An associated feature is disabled; 3) The field is available either when a record is created or updated, but not in both cases."
I am struggling to find a reason, as some other records sync just fine, but I believe it has something to do with “Team Selling” being enabled on NetSuite. It makes changes such as:
- "Replaces the Sales Rep field on sales transactions and on customer records with a Sales Team subtab
- Replaces the Sales Rep box on employee records with a Sales Role field"
- (more info can be found here: https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/netsuite/ns-online-help/section_N1037318.html)
It seems we can get the record to write from HS to NS if we remove the company owner, but when we add the owner back again, the sync fails. But not all records, which is the really frustrating/confusing thing.
I am hoping someone, somewhere, knows how to fix this issue we are having or has a minimal-impact workaround, because HubSpot Support is stumped, our NetSuite contact is stumped, and I am going around in circles.
Any help is greatly appreciated! ![]()
Thanks,
Steffi
