Hi everyone,

I’m using a custom-coded email template in HubSpot, and I want to add a separate section at the bottom for my email signature. The problem is that HubSpot won’t let me add another editable content block unless I modify the code — which I’m trying to avoid.

Is there a way to insert a signature area in a coded template _without_ having to edit the HTML/HubL?

For example:

- Can I add another rich text area directly in the email editor?
- Is there a module or setting that allows for an additional text block for signatures?
- Or does every extra editable section require updating the template code itself?

Hey @TSoreghen ,
Based on your questions here:

- **Can I add another rich text area directly in the email editor?**

- **Is there a module or setting that allows for an additional text block for signatures?**

- **Or does every extra editable section require updating the template code itself?**

Hope this helps!

Hi @TSoreghen

In a coded HubSpot email template, you cannot add a new editable rich text block directly from the email editor. If you need another editable area, for example, a place for your signature, the template has to be updated in Design Manager. As a workaround, you can place the Contact owner → Signature token inside an existing rich text section or simply paste your signature into a block that is already editable. If you want a long-term solution, a developer can add a new rich text or global module to the template.

I hope this will help you out. Please mark it as **Solution Accepted and upvote** to help another Community member.

Thanks!
