Hubspot calls my own telephone instead of client's

Hi, wondering if anyone can help with this as my own tech support are stumped.

When I call out from HS it is calling my own telephone, rather than the client’s. I used to call from HS with no issues and this came out the blue.

On the call screen it states specifically that I am calling <their number> from <my number>, yet still it does not call theirs but mine rings instead with a number from Boston, MA.

I have un-linked my number, then re-linked, but the problem persists.

Any ideas how to fix?

Thanks

Harry

Q: Hubspot calls my own telephone instead of client’s

Short A: Check your call setting.

Longer A:

HubSpot has the ability to initiate the call from your linked number. It does this by calling your phone. Once you answer, HubSpot completes the connection. This frees you up to use the CRM say from your desktop, but use the wireless functionality of your phone.

Make sure your call setting shows, “Call from browser”. If set to “Call from phone” HubSpot will behave as described above by design. (see image)

That fixed it…thank you.

Tbh I’m embarrassed I missed that but hey, all good now.

Thanks for your help!

>“embarassed”? What?

Seriously, the only reason many of us know this junk is because a lot of it has (secretly) happened to us … more than once! haha
