I have a free Hubspot account and I would like to send emails that have a personalized greeting using the first name in the email body. I’m using Bloom (with Divi) to capture emails.

Is this possible?

Hey @JRevelant, thanks for reaching out!

Yes, this is possible — you’ll just need to use a personalization token. Here is the HubSpot Knowledge Base article on setting those up.

Within the email editor, you can just click the **Personalize** linked text in the right corner:

 ![Screen Shot 2023-01-25 at 10.09.23 PM.png](https://d2qpr2jzcazej7.cloudfront.net/original/3X/c/4/c47976f2347a5ed25c51fd7381819ac09ae2c33e.png)

That will let you select the contact property “First name” and have it auto-populate specific to each contact **as long as the contact has a value set there**. You’re going to want to make sure that you [set a global default property value](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/email/how-do-i-create-default-values-for-my-personalization-tokens#:~:text=In%20your%20HubSpot%20account%2C%20click,defaults%20or%20Company%20property%20defaults.) (something like “there” or “friend”) so that if a contact doesn’t have a value for the property you’re trying to pull in, you can have HubSpot pull in a default value so the email still flows properly.

Hope this helps!!

Thank you, I appreciate your response. I don’t see that option, however.
