No two social media audits are conducted the same. How would you go about conducting one? What resources would you tap into? What reports would you run? Or if you’ve already conducted social media audits, what did you find to be the most helpful in gathering data?
A great starting point for analyzing your social media content is to look at how often you post on different social networks. Adapting the posting frequency to the timetable will ensure a steady stream of new content is posted to attract more followers.
Social media algorithms will often favor brands that post frequently and will more likely help make your posts stand out on social. Whether you should post more or less will largely depend on your resources, and it can vary across different platforms. Many experts can also sometimes disagree on the optimal number of posts on different social networks. Here are some general rules for social networks:
Facebook: At least 3 times per week, ideally once a day and a maximum of 2 posts per day
Twitter: At least once a day, preferably 3 to 6 times a day, but ideally still 15-23 times per day
Pinterest: Minimum once a day, preferably 3-5 times a day, optimal 10-25 per day
Instagram: Minimum once a week, preferably 3 times a week, optimal 1-2 times per day
LinkedIn: Minimum twice a week, maximum once a day
YouTube: About once per week, but keeping a regular schedule is more important than frequency
As you can see, some social networks are in higher demand than others. Twitter and Pinterest tend to have very active and engaged audiences, which means accounts need to post very often to maintain visibility. However, this presence on these platforms is only valuable if your audience uses them regularly, so this is not always appropriate for schools.
Facebook and Instagram, which have larger audiences, tend to require fewer posting schedules, and some even believe that posting too often affects visibility and engagement. LinkedIn, meanwhile, is widely believed to post less on the social network because of its more professional and less active user base, although it still has many dedicated users and posting accounts. quite regularly. Besides, for Youtube, the posting frequency does not need to be as high as other social networks, partly due to the time-consuming nature of creating videos.
We use Facebook, and they have great analytical tools. I would create a spreadsheet to keep track of certain variables that we find important and from that create a monthly report that explains the ups and downs of the numbers.
From my experience the most important thing is content, then you need to analyze when is the best time to post it . If you know when your audience is active you will need to boost the post for extra engagement - that really works for me . Using the right keywords works well with reels. Keep tracking and that’s the key for analysis
A custom-made template had been designed to track the key goals of my content creation so far. But learning more about metrics in this section helped me to populate into my spreadsheet and work regularly on S.M Audit boosting my Business goals.
To audit social media usually i only use owned social media analytics. To see impression, reach, which post that has better engagement rates and so on. I’ve never tried third party analytics tools. Can one of you recommend me free social media analytics tool?
