How we cut quote creation time to seconds using Breeze AI and Quote Rules in Revenue Hub

If your team is still building quotes from scratch, chasing down discount policies, or sending out pricing that varies rep to rep — this one’s for you.

We ran a session walking through how Revenue Hub’s CPQ tools actually work end-to-end, and a few things stood out as game-changers worth sharing with the community.

The setup that makes it work

Before anything, you need Breeze AI enabled, a Revenue Hub seat assigned, and the quote-create permission turned on in your user profile. All three have to be in place — miss one and reps just won’t see the option.

Quote Rules are underrated

Most people skip straight to quote creation, but Quote Rules are what prevent the expensive mistakes. You can set discount caps (so no one can go beyond, say, 20% without a block), flag incompatible products before the quote goes out, and require certain line items to always appear together. HubSpot enforces these at publish time — not after the fact.

Creating a quote with Breeze

Once your products and line items are added at the deal level, you can prompt Breeze to generate a full quote draft. It pulls CRM context automatically — deal name, contact, company — and produces a ready-to-edit quote in seconds. You still review and publish; Breeze just removes the blank-page problem.

One important note: add your line items at the deal level before invoking Breeze. And Quote Rules apply when you publish, not during the AI generation step — so the guardrails still fire.

The stat that changes how you think about speed

76% of buyers go with the vendor that responds first with a clear quote. Not cheapest. Fastest. That number reframes what quoting speed is actually worth.

Wow, this is such a compelling stat: “76% of buyers choose the vendor that responds first with a clear quote. Not the cheapest. The fastest.”

It really underscores the power of clear note-taking, understanding exactly what the buyer needs the first time, and automation. When the two work together, speed becomes a serious competitive advantage.
