When you have multiple brands, business units or related companies, you may have questioned whether to use one HubSpot portal or several, have multiple domains add-on or use Business Units.
And itโs a very common question.
Most people donโt understand the difference and how to solve this question with HubSpot ![]()
So let me tell you a little bit about each scenario:
โฃ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ฅ๐๐ก๐๐ ๐ก๐ ๐ฃ๐ฅ๐๐๐ค: ideal when brands or business units have no relationship with each other, have different types of customers, answer to a separate management group and canโt share information with each other because of legal issues. Even their work teams are independent.
โฃ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ฅ๐๐ก๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ค: this only makes sense when using different email sending domains, but the team is the same, the stakeholders are the same, the web and brand kit is the same and there is no need to break down metrics into reports.
โฃ ๐น๐ฆ๐ค๐๐๐๐ค๐ค ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ค: here you work on 1 portal but with separate brands, domains, teams, assets and metrics. You share the database, this means you can cross-sell to your contacts and work the same with each of the Business Units, sharing the informationโฆ but all measured individually. You can even have a different App/Tech stack for each Business Unit (and again, in the same HubSpot Portal)
When you choose to work with ๐ฝ๐ช๐จ๐๐ฃ๐๐จ๐จ ๐๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐จ in a HubSpot portal there are a lot of configurations to do to make this work correctly and without errors.
