I’m currently setting goals for our sales team. I have Calls made and meetings booked, but I didn’t see a template for emails sent, nor do I seem to be able to create a template for it using proper metrics. Wondering if anyone else has done this and if there’s a fix for it? Thank you!

You’re correct, within the custom goals area in HubSpot, this is not possible. However, other users have requested this before: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Create-Goals-for-Emails-sent-to-contacts/idc-p/1081279
These requests submitted to the HubSpot Ideas section of the community are reviewed by the HubSpot product team, based on their popularity and the assumed demand. I’d recommend commenting and upvoting.
You can also help other HubSpot users find this request more easily (and drive traction) by accepting my reply as a solution. I’d appreciate it, too.
As far as workarounds go, you could still create custom activity reports that visualize the Count of activities by Activity created by, filtered for Activity type. You couldn’t set different goals for users but at least see the counts per user at a glance.

If you have access to workflows, did you try using a trigger like “Sales email send”, then create a custom property that you’ll increment each time a sales email is sent. You could test with a reenrollment trigger to see if that works?
This would require a custom code workflow action, and the solution from my colleague Kyle on this thread “Custom Code action not copying into Custum Property” might help you.
I understand that this is not exactly what you were looking for but I hope it helps a bit.
If it doesn’t, as Karsten mentioned, I’d recommend upvoting this Idea “Create Goals for Emails sent to contacts” and adding your use case.
