How to set email notification when someone try to contact me via livechat

Hello Support Team,

I am a little confused about your plugin. I mean, is there any way for HubSpot to automatically send me an email notification when somebody try to get in touch with me via Livechat? The plugin is now on my WordPress website. And I haven’t logged into the HubSpot backend for a long time, and when I logged in today, I found several live chat messages and Hubspot didn’t send me notifications about these unreplied chats. That’s really weird and unreasonable.

This is not HubSpot Support but a community of volunteers.

Just check your notification settings for chat and email conversations, and ensure email notifcations are toggled on. That will notify when new chats are coming in.

It doesn’t work, still cannot get notifications and when new live chat happens, no notification occurs in my Wordpress backend, I can only find notifications when go to hubspot inbox. But anyway, thanks, still so confused about Hubspot and considering another plugin with a livechat function.

happy to help clear up the confusion @VegaWu, when you add live chat to your Wordpress website, you’re enabling the HubSpot widget to display - there isn’t a direct integration for the actual inbox to be connected to the backend of WP. You’d still need to use HubSpot to respond to the live chat messages.

The best way to do this, IMO, because you don’t log in to HubSpot often, would be to download the HubSpot app on your phone. You could then get instant notifications for new live chats and then reply from the HubSpot app directly.
