How to remove tracking from email created in Outlook 365

Hi,

I track my sales emails in Outlook 365 with the Hubspot add-in.

I want to stop tracking specific emails once they have been opened a few times and I have established a permanent connection with the contact I was emailing. I dont need to continue to know that they are repeatedly opening them.

How can I do this via the Microsoft Office Outlook application? I do all my emails from Outlook.

HI @CBeaty

Thank you for reaching out!

This is not something available at this stage but I’d recommend upvoting this idea in our Ideas Forum

Thank you!

Hi

Kind of crazy that we are 1.5 years on from this post and still no way to fix this.

It’s almost the first mistake a new user of the Outlook add-in makes… is to send other non-sales emails (some confidential), where Hubspot automatically tracks the email. And then sends you repeat notifications that pop up on your phone, every time someone opens to read it!

Is there still really no fix?

Hi @Prabha

It’s now possible to remove new notifications for a specific email thread :slightly_smiling_face:

  • To mute new notifications for a specific email thread, hover over the email activity in the activity feed, click the More dropdown menu, then select Turn off thread notifications. To resume receiving notifications, click the More dropdown menu again and select Turn on thread notifications.

More info here.

Thank you!

Hi Tiphaine, thanks for your quick response - and for completing the thread of posts here.

I have followed your advice, but what would still be great is to delete the activity/thread altogether, since it is not related to the CRM.

If/when you have a way to do this, please let me know. Thanks again!
