How to remove Stripe Account from HubSpot

I’m having the same issue! How did you fix it?

Moderator note: I have moved your post for visibility. For reference, here is the thread where you posted: “Can’t remove Hubspot from my Stripe Account

Hey @trilliummkt,

Welcome to the Community!

To start, I’d like to note that I moved your post to its own thread to get the attention it needs/ clarify if you’re experiencing the same situation. The issue in the other thread is that the User’s HubSpot account was deactivated, therefore they could not login and remove Stripe from HubSpot on their own. Looking into the account associated with your email it looks like its still an active portal. That said, as a first step are you able to please following the steps from the guide below to remove Stripe from this HubSpot Account?

I hope this helps!

Hi Sam! Thanks for the help! My stripe was never connected through the ‘payments account’ or ‘payment processing’ section of Hubspot. When I go into that section, it still has the original “set up payments” button, so I’m assuming we’re good to go there.

Where I’m having the issue is when I connected the Stripe account through the ‘integrations’ tab. I originally installed and connected Hubspot’s “Stripe” app, and have since disconnected it. However, this is where it’s getting stuck. Even after I’ve disconnected the account and uninstalled the Stripe app through Hubspot, it still shows that Hubspot is managing my Stripe account.
I’ve tried reinstalling, connecting, disconnecting, and uninstalling the app several times to see if it’s a bug or if I did something wrong, but it still says it’s connected.
As far as I know, the “payment account” (or payment processing) and the “integration” Stripe app are the only two ways to connect the account.

Do you have any other suggestions? THanks!

Hey @trilliummkt,

Thanks for clarifying the setup on your end!

I’ve also taken a look to see if there is any lingering connection on our end as I see that your team did start a connection process in the past. I’ve asked our team internally to confirm if there is anything we can do on our end and will reach back out here once there are any updates for you!

Hello @trilliummkt,

Thanks for your patience here so far. I heard back from our internal team and they’ve confirmed your portal does not have a connected Stripe account for commerce. Could you ask the merchant to provide the Stripe account ID, and we check internally to see if the account is associated with a different portal. Please feel free to DM me to relay that ID!

Looking forward to your response!

Hey Sam,

I just sent you a DM, but I was clicking through pretty fast and I’m not sure if it actually copied and pasted the stripe ID into the message. I went to send you a second one just to make sure, but it says I’ve reached the max number of DMs and I should try later. I’ll try sending it again tomorrow.

Thanks

MIles

Hey @trilliummkt,

Thanks for messaging me! Would you mind attempting to send me another message? I’m not seeing any DM limits on your profile that you should be hitting -- that said if the issue persists, would you mind attempting to clear your cache and try again?

Looking forward to your response!

Best,

Sam

Hey Sam

I cleared my cache and the message sent! Let me know what next steps look like! Thank youf or your help!

Hey all!

Just updating this thread to conclude: that after receiving the Stripe Account ID we were able to remove the reference internally which resolved the issue.

Happy HubSpotting!
