Hi,
I am new to HubSpot and I work in a startup.
we are currently using the HubSpot sales starter.
My boss can give me permission to do things that are free.
But other features require the sales pro.
So how can I know when to ask for permission and when it actually requires the sales pro?
for example.
I if want to make a new product. can I do this in the free version?
and if yes, do I need to ask my manager for permission?
Hi @AAljawharji,
HubSpot usually lets you know if you’re about to do something that is only available in a higher tier subscription. If you want to be sure, you can alwways search for a knowledge base article on that topic. Most of the times, it will have a small info box. In that box, you’ll see which subscriptions are required for this feature.
Regarding your second question, your manager might have set specific permissions for you: HubSpot user permissions guide
In new portals, it’s not unusual that these permissions have not been set up yet. That’s why I’d recommend talking to your manager about changes you’re planning to make. Other colleagues might change settings in the tool as well.
Hope this helps!
