How to create multiple Tickets from one Deal

Hi,

My company sells marketing analysis solution for trade shows. We enable our clients with the possibility to track users in their booth and see how well they perform compared to their other shows.

Our workflow is the following:

Sales team creates Deals and filled them up with all the necessary info and once the Quote is signed, we have to manualy create Tickets for our Operations teams about what they need to take care of.

I have seen posts about creating Tickets per line item which is close to what I want but sadly in order to create the Tickets I need more information than what the line item carries.

Some Deals are for multiple shows of different sizes or locations. We add multiple line items per show but the info about location and size is not contained in the line items. How can I store this information in the Deal and then be able to create a ticket per show with the right location and booth size?

I was thinking about creating a Custom Object associated with the Deal. The Custom Object would hold the properties I need to create the ticket. I will let the sales team add as many of these Custom Objects as they need on the Deal and once the quote is signed automate Tickets’ creation based on these Custom Objects.

Is this the correct way to proceed?

Thank you

@LDekester Short answer - yes.

I would highly recommend going the Custom Object route if you need to store multiple data points for different shows/events.

Associating the custom objects to the deal would make it much easier to automate the ticket creation for your service team.

Long answer - there will be some complexity depending on how you bulid this out and you might need some custom coded actions, it is fully achievable though. If you don’t have someone on your internal team well versed in custom objects and workflows, it’d be well worth the money to find a solutions partner or freelancer in the HubSpot ecosystem who can help implement the solution for you.
