I have a landing page with lots of content. I want to copy one section from it and include it in an email. Is this possible?
I have tried the ‘hubl’ suggestion seen in a previous post, but there is no ‘hubl’ option in the arrow. I have tried Save Section but when I go to the email it is not found by searching. I have also read using the ‘+’ by clicking the thin blue line…there is no ‘+’. Does anyone know how to do this?
Hi @DAOHS! Welcome to the Community-- happy to have you here
I understand your goal is to copy a website module into an email. To start, keep in mind that Email and the web are different when it comes to HubSpot modules.
As @kennedyp had mentioned, web and email templates work differently, so you won’t be able to see saved landing page sections when editing an email - only the sections you have saved during email editing will show up there.
In terms of the ‘hubl’ option, I believe you are referring to “Copy as HubL” option. That would appear as an option if you entered the page in developer mode by appending “?developerMode=true” to your URL when editing the page.
However, that probably would not be of much help in this case because it would copy a lot of code that is meant for web templates and would either be ignored or cause errors on the email template.
Technically, you could try to somewhat clean it up and remove references to the web template code, leaving only the HTML and adding it to an HTML module in the email but - depending on the complexity of your section - the results may not turn out as you expected.
On the other hand, if it is very basic layout and essentially only text, you might as well just copy/paste the actual content from the landing page into the email.
