I want to convert my [pottery](https://potteryandcrafting.com/best-pottery-wheel-stools/) blog into an e commerce store. But I dont want to delete my posts. Can I convert a blog into a store without losing anything?

You can typically add a blog to a site or make a blog a part of your site. But you simply don’t change one to the other, you just leave your blog up and add a store. Do you have any idea about the e-commerce software you are looking to use, or where your blog is hosted? You may also want to consider engaging with a partner to help with your website update.

@jlehner8 you’ll most likely need to do some migration work, copying and pasting your content into the new ecommerce site. I would also suggesting looking into 301 redirects for the old URLs so any links out in the world still work with the new links. Here’s a solid resource to help you with your planning: [How to Successfully Migrate a Website Without Harming SEO [Checklist]](https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/website-migration)

Good luck!

Using a second-level domain name to build an e-commerce website can perfectly solve your problems
