Hi all, is there a way for me to build a report that will tell me what job titles that we have but that we have not been marketing to?
Hi @alexagatiss,
Sure, using the custom report builder: Create reports with the custom report builder
- Select contacts as a data source
- Drag and drop “Count of contacts” onto the y-axis
- Drag and drop “Job titles” onto the x-axis
- Filter report by “Last marketing email send date is unknown”
In step 4, you could of course add additional criteria, depending on what you consider “marketing to”.
Best regards!
Hi @alexagatiss,
You can get pretty close to this using the custom report builder in HubSpot. The idea is to break it into two parts: first, see which job titles exist in your database, and then filter down to the ones that haven’t been touched by marketing.
A simple way to do this is to build a report with Contacts as your data source and use Job Title as the main field. From there, you can apply a filter based on what you consider “marketed to.” For example, if email is your main channel, you could filter for contacts where no marketing emails have been sent.
That will give you a view of job titles that exist in your CRM but haven’t received any marketing communication.
The important part here is defining “marketing to.” If your team uses more than just email (like workflows, ads, etc.), you might want to expand that definition a bit. But if email is your primary channel, this approach works well as a starting point.
It’s not a single-click report, but once set up, it gives you a really useful gap analysis of who you’re currently missing.
Hope this helped!
