# How to block URL

I have a Url that is opening after submitting the form, we have to block the URL usage without submitting the form . How to do that?

Hi, @AKowshik 👋 Thanks for your question. Can you tell the community more about your form?

For example, is your form a HubSpot form?

If yes, is it a standalone or embedded form?

If embedded, is it embedded on a HubSpot or non-HubSpot page?

This section of the documentation — [Customize your form options](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/forms/create-forms#customize-your-form-options), covers the expected behaviour and how to modify it depending on how you’re set up.

If you need more flexibility, you can look at creating a custom coded form and using our [Forms API](https://legacydocs.hubspot.com/docs/methods/forms/submit_form_v3_authentication) to submit the data.

And lastly, if you have a custom for, can you share a link to a live example? It’s challenging for the community to give you feedback without more details.
