I’m curious if other people have encountered this problem/need, and what solutions you’ve been able to find or develop:
My sales executive team has requested a way to view information on ‘slipped deals.’
By ‘slipped deals’, I’m referring to deals that were intended to close in one given month, but then have their ‘close date’ moved to a future month.
In particular, my executive team is interested in tracking deals that are either in a closed won state when the close date is moved, or are in a committed forecast category when the close date is moved.
As much historical data as we can provide on previous close date values is desired.
Essentially, what we are looking for is a ‘history of close dates’, and how far out they have been pushed.
We do have another property called ‘estimated close date’, Our sellers are instructed to leave the estimated close date and modify the ‘close date’ property.
Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Hi @JMayhew6, you are able to see property history by clicking on View property history on the deal window and filter history by property name.

And if you want your executive team to see which deals have had their closed date modified (slipped deals), you can create a workflow with trigger Close date has been updated in the last 0 day and then add an action of marking that deal as Slipped Deal (custom property)
Once that is done, your team will be able to filter these deals in the pipeline by adding an advanced filter of Slipped Deal is Yes
Hope this helps
Thanks

Hi @JMayhew6
If you have a Sales Hub Pro or Ent subscription you can use and customise the “Deal push rate” report in the Sales Analytics tools. It looks something like that and fits your scenario perfectly.
Alternatively, you could also check out the “deal change history” report in the sales analytics tools.
I hope that helps.
Cheers
Frank
I’m finding the push report is showing me all sorts of random deals including deals that have been ‘pulled back’ into the Q from further out. If I just want to look at slippage from one Q to the next, how can I report on that accurately?
