I was wondering if there is a way to comprehensively download all my data stored on HubSpot, including one to one emails from clients, deals and other important data.
Love HubSpot, but if it goes down due to maintenance, ect, I need a back up. What is the best practise for this?
Hey @HRich Good news! This request matches an idea in the Ideas forum that’s now ‘In Planning’. Here’s the link — Database Backups. We need your input. Please upvote and share any use cases or feedback. Thanks! — Jaycee
CRM Data Backup introduces an important mechanism to protect your data. You now can have a manual export of all contacts, companies, deals, tickets, custom objects, products, calls, and tasks in a CSV zip file.
Why does it matter?
Even though we do allow you to export objects individually, there isn’t an option to perform a full backup of your data. We often hear that integrations, workflows and other automations can mistakenly alter your data. Having regular backups not only ensures business continuity and peace of mind but also allows you to be at ease, knowing that you have a backup to restore if unwanted changes occur.
How does it work?
As a super admin, you can go to Settings > Data Backup > Create Backup to start this export. You can download these files in-app or via a link in your email.
Who gets it?
All paid hubs & tiers. Enterprise tier can create a backup every 24 hours, while other tiers can create a weekly backup.

If you’re not seeing this yet, you’ll have to be a bit more patient or talk to your HubSpot customer success manager. (HubSpot support can let you know who that is.)
HubSpot doesn’t offer a comprehensive backup feature natively, but you can manually export data like contacts, deals, and emails. For a more automated solution, tools like Skyvia Backup can help you schedule regular backups.
