I’m trying to create a workflow for an email nurture campaign. The challenge I’m facing is handling replies automatically based on their intent:
Positive Intent: If someone replies positively (e.g., “Interested” or “Tell me more”), the lead should be assigned to a sales rep for follow-up.
Negative Intent: If the reply is negative (e.g., “Not interested”), the contact should be automatically unenrolled from the workflow.
Is there a way in HubSpot to detect email intent automatically and route the replies accordingly? If not, are there any alternative approaches or integrations that can help?
Hi @Sgram! Welcome to the Community-- happy to have you here
As far as I know, there is no automatic detection of intent with HubSpot emails. That said, you can filter emails based on keywords in the body, but you’d have to define those keywords yourself.
I also found this idea with similar intent but with clicks: Counter triggers for emails to show buying intent
This could maybe help brainstorm some alternative intent scoring options!
I’d like to invite @Gaurav_Aggarwal to contribute any workarounds they have! Any advice for measuring intent in email replies?
If you’re tracking them on a property, you should be able to branch your workflow based on whether they’re a positive or negative responder.
Maybe rather than a reply, have them click a button/link that indicates their response and branch from there? Or, create a property and update it based on their reply for branching logic?
