How to add a custom WhatsApp message link in HubSpot marketing email?

Hello everyone.

Just wondering if this is possible:
I want to send emails to contacts and add a link to “Contact your sales Rep” with a link that when clicked opens a WhatsApp message to the Account owner or contactowner whatsapp business.

I already have the links, but i don t have such property in the users (owners).
So I was guessing if maybe i could create a property that is a URL (Like if it was a profile link), or even adding a meeting link with this custom link to whatsapp.

Any suggestions?

Thank you for your request! Here’s how I would approach it:

  1. Create a Custom Contact Property:

    • Name the property “WhatsApp Contact Link”.
    • Set the format as a single-line text property.

  2. Build a Workflow to Populate the WhatsApp Link:

    • Create a contact-based workflow with the trigger “Contact Owner is Known.”
    • Add branches for each contact owner and assign the appropriate WhatsApp link to the custom property created. This will ensure the correct link is stored for each contact.

  3. Add a Personalization Token to Your Email Button:

    • Place a button in your email and use the personalization token for the custom property (WhatsApp Contact Link) as the button link.
