Hello everyone,
I manage NexifyBlog, a content publishing platform where we work with different contributors. While reviewing guest articles, I’ve learned that quality, relevance, and reader value are more important than just publishing content for backlinks.
I’m interested in knowing how other marketers and content managers maintain quality standards when accepting guest contributions.
What factors do you consider before publishing a guest article? Do you focus more on originality, SEO value, author expertise, or audience engagement?
Would love to hear your experiences and best practices.
I usually look at reader value first. If an article genuinely answers a question, provides original insights or real examples, and is well-structured, it’s already ahead of most submissions.
After that, I check for originality, factual accuracy, and whether the content fits my audience. SEO matters too, but I see it as a way to help people find good content—not the main reason to publish it. I also review outbound links to make sure they’re relevant and not overly promotional.
In my experience, the best guest posts are the ones that readers would still find valuable even if all the links were removed.
The first thing I consider when accepting a guest post is the value it provides to readers.
