Hi There!
Apologies if this is an obvious question but I have browsed the community and can’t appear to find a clear response to the question in the subject header.
I want to clean up and remove old pipelines. I understand too that I would have to move any associated deal on these legacy pipelines out too. But how do I check if my old pipelines have deals associated with them?
Many thanks for the support.
Hi @JReynolds9,
The easiest way to check would be to navigate to Menu > Sales > Deals. Select the list view, find the to-be-deleted pipeline in the dropdown and clear all filters.
If any deals pop up, these would have to be moved to another pipeline. (Select deals, click edit button, search “Pipeline” and confirm.)
Best regards!
Hi Karsten,
Many thanks for the prompt reply!
This makes sense to me: just out of interest, do we have an option to remove deals from legacy pipelines, or is this still not an option on HubSpot? I base my logic on this post but realise it is also a few years out of date.
Hi @JReynolds9,
You can move deals to other pipelines by following the steps from my earlier post. Select all deals, then click Edit:
Next, search for “Pipeline” and select the pipeline where you want to move these deals:
Alternatively, you can of course simply delete the deal records but I assume you want to keep them. So your options are:
(1) move them to a new pipeline (and delete the old pipeline)
(2) delete them (and delete the old pipeline)
(3) keep them in the same pipeline (and keep the pipeline)
Best regards!
Hi @karstenkoehler!
Thank you for the reply two weeks ago: our company now knows what the steps look like.
I’d like to circle back to something rather than making a new thread to reduce spam - a query of best practice and picking your expertise.
We want to move old deals from old pipelines.
These old deals would move to the current pipeline we are using. However, the deal stage set-up is not the same on these old pipelines.
Example:
Current pipeline we have uses deal stages of:
Needs Confirmed (40%), Evaluation Assistance (60%), Vendor of Choice (75%), Sign-Off (90%), and Closed Won.
Whereas these deal stages different on old pipelines.
So:
1) Do we have to map these old deals when brining them over to the current pipeline?
2) The close date for these old deals will remain the same when moving?
Thank you for your help!
