how do I download all of my contacts into a csv?
Fastest path in the UI:
-
Go to Contacts (or CRM → Contacts).
-
Open (or create) a view that includes everyone you want. If you need the whole database, clear filters so the view is unfiltered.
-
Top right: Export → Export view (or Export with the columns you care about).
-
Pick CSV, choose All properties or only the properties in the view (All properties is safer if you are migrating or auditing).
-
HubSpot emails a download link when the export is ready. Large portals can take a few minutes.
Tips that save pain later:
- Exports respect your permissions. If some contacts are missing, check object access and teams, not just the filter.
- Soft-deleted / GDPR erased contacts will not come back in a normal export.
- If the file is huge and the UI times out, split by Create date or Lifecycle stage into a few views and export each, then concatenate.
If you say whether you need every property or just a working list (email, name, owner, lifecycle), easy to narrow the exact click path for your hub version.
@kishoreaxioprax no need to split exports into multiple smaller batches - the UI doesn’t time out, exports are processed in the background and a notification sent later for particularly large exports.
thank you!
Hello @Barronis10 ,
You can do this right in HubSpot.
-
Go to CRM > Contacts
-
Then click Export in the top right corner.
-
Choose CSV as your file type,
-
Then decide if you want to export all of your properties or just the fields you see on your current view.
-
Click Export
And a link to your file will be sent to your email. If you only need specific contacts, make sure to apply any filters or views before you export. If you don’t see an Export button at all, reach out to your administrator and ask them to check your export permissions in Settings > Users & Teams.
With Regards,
Jaya Sinha.
Thanks! I appreciate it
