I need to create a report which visualises the deals we have closed, but we have three different reasons why these were closed, so can these all be added?
Hi @JSamuel85,
If you want a chart, this would have to be three separate reports - which you can then place on a dashboard side by side.
If you want all in one report, the only option would be a table visualisation, unsummarized - showing the name of each company and then the three columns corresponding to the three properties.
Best regards!
Hi, for the 3 separate reports, do these need to be single object reports?
@JSamuel85 that would be sufficient, yes
Hi, when i create a single report it pulls through all of our pipelines, but I only want to use one, so how can I stop this?
@JSamuel85 in the top left corner, under Filters, you can specify a filter for Pipeline. Once applied, the report will only show deals from that pipeline.
@JSamuel85 if you add a filter for the ‘Pipeline stage’ that corresponds to closed lost, you should still see the lost deals. Also make sure to adjust the date filter in the top left corner, it’s currently set to this quarter.
I only need to see closed lost, then do a report for the three reasons we close them?
@JSamuel85 you’re almost there, simply add a report filter for pipeline stage and select the corresponding closed lost stage. Then go to the Visualization tab, choose your visualization and add the lost reason property to the chart. Save the report and repeat the steps for the two other lost fields.
If that’s not working, please point out the exact step you’re getting stuck at.
@JSamuel85 click the blue hyperlinked “Data step” in the bottom left corner, then find your first of the three lost reason properties. Then, once it shows up, drag and drop the property and “Count of deals” into the “Displaying” area and choose you’re preferred chart type.
I can only find the reasons for closed in a deal stage, and there are four or so options, so what is the correct property to choose?
@JSamuel85 I’m unfortunately not familiar with the custom properties you have set up - I don’t have access to your portal. If you want to share a screenshot, I’ll try to make an educated guess.
@JSamuel85 these are default properties from HubSpot to capture how long a deal has spent in a stage. In your first post, you focused on this: ‘we have three different reasons why these were closed’ - what are the names of the properties corresponding to these reasons? These are the ones you’d have to look up. If I misunderstood your request, could you rephrase what exactly you’d like to visualize?
We have three reasons why we close a deal;
Closed - no slot
Closed - other
Closed - price
The reason for the report is show the value we have lost across these three closure reasons.
@JSamuel85 are these deal stages or properties?
If they are stages, in your report filters, set up a filter for “Pipeline stage is any of Closed - no slot, Closed - other, Closed - price”.
Then, in the Visualization tab, drag and drop “Count of deals” and “Pipeline stage” into the Displaying area, then choose a pie chart visualization.
Can I bring a currency value in to this as that is what I am looking to show to our Leadership Team?
@JSamuel85 yes, instead of count of deals, drag and drop “Amount”.
