How do I create a list of companies that don't have any associate contacts within a certain list?

I have produced a contacts list of contacts with certain job titles - i.e. Marketing Managers.

I then want to produce a list of companies where there arne’t any associated contacts in the marketing managers list. Essentially, this will direct our contact gathering approach to tell us what companies we don’t yet have relevant contacts for.

I can’t find a way to do this. I can set up a companies list that filters on a contact list membership - but this doens’t work because I will get companies in my list where *some* of the contacts aren’t in the list, whereas I need there to be NO contacts in the marketing managers list.

Here’s how I would do this:

  • Create a company based list and filter for companies irs associated to contacts matching your desired job titles (you can switch from company to contact properties in a company list using the drop-down in the second left sidebar)
  • Create another company list and filter for companies which are not on the first list

That should be it!
