I’ve recently added a user to my account. When this user logs in, she cannot see our contacts. I would like to customize which contacts she has access to. Is this possible?
Hi @skeller,
There are a few different ways that you can give the new user access to contacts as well as limit what they can do.
- Click the gear at the top right of the page
- Click users and teams
- Click the checkbox next to the users name and choose edit
- You should have a “Contacts” option
- From here you can set what they can view, communicate with, and edit as well as control their ability to bulk delete, import, export, and assign workflows.
When choosing access levels, it will default to everything…which will give them access to all contacts in the system. You can adjust that to only contacts they own or contacts that their team owns.
Please ping me if you still have questions. I’m happy to help!

Thanks for the help. I have selected that I wanted her to only have access to Team Only things and have assigned her to a Team. However, how do I add the contacts I want her to have access to, to that Team?
Someone on that team must be the contact owner for that contact.
For example…go to a contact record in question, find the property “Contact Owner”, choose one of the people from her team, once that is set as contact owner she should see her contacts as well as the others that her team members own…but not those from other teams.
Is there a way to change multiple contact owners at one time?
Thank you so much. I figured all that out! Now as a super-administrator, do I need to be part of a team to see one of my user’s contacts or will their information automatically connect with my account?
Hi @skeller,
As a Super-admin, you shouldn’t have to assign yourself to a team. You should see all contactsr regardless of who they are assigned to.
