How can you extend the value of your next piece of content?

Be patient

i really love this

hii @kara_susvilla i try to create one piece of content and utilize it in different form. For example, if I am writing a blog, I try to repurpose it by creating videos, carousels, infographics, did you know, myth and fact, and poll content.

One piece of content can sort your 3-4 days content ideas if your posting frequency is once a day.

I plan repurposing before I create, I outline 5 standalone subtopics and capture raw audio/notes during the process so I already have clips and quotes ready. Then I reformat that core asset into emails, posts, and a checklist, and I just polish the edits. Finally, I stretch everything over two weeks drop the main piece first, then trickle out the smaller bits daily so one big session fuels my feed without burning me out.

"I’d film one long video, then pull clips for Reels, pull audio for a podcast, and pull the transcript for a blog post all from the same recording. “Saves me from staring at a blank page seven times, and each platform gets its own native format.”

I will incorporate the educative videos and also expand to other channels that my audience are.

Firstl, I must have patience and i can turn a blog post into Instagram shorts and reach many people from different platforms

I would take one piece of content and break it into smaller parts, then turn it into different formats. like videos, posts, threads, or even emails. I would also change the hook or angle so it feels fresh each time, even though it’s the same core message.

I work in higher ed. I oversaw the creation of a comprehensive Online Student Success Guide to support enrollment, onboarding and retention. This guide has 4 modules with multiple topics.

Reverse-engineering the ideas of this course section so far, I could work to add chapter bookmarks and snippets that could be embedded in enrollment communications and communications throughout the semester.

Much better planning and forward thinking. Something I definitely could improve on. I plan to make a blog about the Florida experience. I’m thinking I can also turn it into a carousel on Instagram and perhaps even a YouTube short or video. I’ll have to sit down and think through the plan, but I love the concept

By frequently linking it to new relevant material.

  1. Blog - Social Posts
Break down a long article into bite-sized LinkedIn posts, Twitter threads, or Instagram carousels.
  2. Video - Podcast
Strip the audio from a video and publish it as a podcast episode.
  3. Webinar - Ebook/Guide
Turn your webinar slides and transcript into a downloadable PDF guide.
  4. Case Study - Infographic
Visualize the key stats and outcomes into a shareable infographic.
  5. Research Report - Email Series
Divide insights into a multi-part email campaign to nurture leads.
  6. Presentation - Slide Deck on LinkedIn
Upload slides as a LinkedIn document post for easy consumption.
  7. Long-form Content - Short-form Clips
Cut highlights into TikTok/YouTube Shorts/Reels to capture attention quickly.

For my next piece of content, I plan to write a blog about experiential events in Kolkata. Instead of using it only as a blog, I would repurpose it into multiple formats, such as Instagram carousels, short reels highlighting key points, LinkedIn posts, email newsletters, and a checklist of unique experiences. This allows me to reach different audiences across platforms while maximizing the value of the original content.

How can I extend the value of my next piece of content? Most definitely an ebook, an infographic, a webinar and video(s).

I try to make one piece of content work in different ways. A long post can become short tips, a carousel, a reel, or even a comment. It saves time, keeps my message consistent, and helps me focus on building systems instead of constantly creating from scratch.
