Hi,
I’m trying to setup a workflow which can notify me if value in a property has been updated after 1st value is assigned in it. Additionally it should keep me notifying the same whenever the values are changed.
Current trigger criteria kept is Property Value is known but this notifies me even when the new or 1st value is assigned. My requirement is to notify once 1st value is assigned.
Can anyone help on the same.
Thanks
Hi @AJ_Kakrot,
If it’s a contact-based workflow, before the notification, simply add a branch that checks if the contact has completed the workflow. If no, nothing happens. If yes, send notification.
For other objects, you would need an assisting property, e. g. “Number of enrollments in [workflow name]”, then increase the value at the beginning of the workflow by +1, then check if the number is 1 (do nothing) or greater than 1 (send notification).
Best regards
@karstenkoehler Thanks for your response.
It is for deal object property. So when you say Number of enrollments in workflow, does it mean to add this in workflow where this property value is set at 1st time?
Please advise.
@AJ_Kakrot you would increase the custom property value +1 at the beginning of the workflow, then use a branch to check which value it has:

In other words:
- Create custom deal property
- Create deal based workflow
- Re-enroll deals when property value is known
- Edit value of property from step 1 - increase by 1
- Add branch to check if value is 1 or greater than 1
- Send notification if greater than 1
