How can I track installed base equipment data in HubSpot?

Hi Hubspot Community

We’d like to record the packaging machinery installed in our customer and target account production sites. I thought I could do this using some custom objects in the Deal Pipeline function, and creating a separate ā€˜Pipeline’ named Installed Base. But unfortunately that requires a different form to the normal deal pipeline form to collect the Installed Base data required, and HS only allows one type of form for Pipelines, I think? We have Professional Licence. Can I create two Pipeline Forms, or is there another way to collect Install Base data. (I dont want to just use a Notes field). The type of data we are hoping to record is Eqpt Type, Brand Name, Age, Repalcement Value and liklihood of trading out the old equipment.

Anyone done something like this before?

Cheers

Phil

Hi @PKBIGGS,

Technically, this is what custom objects are for - however, these require an Enterprise subscription: Create and edit custom objects

There are however workarounds on the Professional tier:

  • If you’re not using the ticket object for anything else yet (and aren’t planning to either), you can use the ticket object.
  • In the data model builder, there are also inactive objects, specifically appointments, courses, listings, services: Use the data model builder - judging by your use case, you will never has another application for the listings object. Upon activation, you can simply rename it ā€œPackaging machinery itemā€ or similar. The downside is that you’ll have some default listings properties in the background; you would simply not add those to record views to avoid confusion (e. g. square footage, number of bedrooms).

Once enabled, you can add association cards on your deal object in the right sidebar for this newly activated listings / packaging machinery object: Customize records

In the object settings, you also create custom properties as you would usually.

Best regards!

Activate the Listing object and rename - this is the way
