Currently to access an item on the 3rd level down using the Navigation Side Bar, users are required to Click on each level. This is a step-back from previous version.
When I mouse-over the icons on the Side-Bar, the side-bar expands to show the Names next to the Icon, then Mouse-over a topic (Workspace, CRM, Marketing, etc) highlights the topic but it doesn’t activate it. User must click in other to see the topic’s option. After the Click, the sub-topics are display and another click is required to activate the selection.
This is a poor UI design, users go to the side-bar with the sole intention to access a sub-topic, this intermediate click is a step back from the the previous UI when I could get to Deals or Customers with a single click.
Hi @AJMoura,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community!
I’m sorry to hear about your experience regarding this.
I’d like to thank you for sharing your valuable feedback! This means a lot to us.
I have shared it internally to bring more visibility to it.
For information, you can now add bookmarks in the navigation to save your most frequently used menu items.
I hope this helps!
Have a good day.
Best,
Bérangère
Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, adding an item to the bookmarks still requires secondary clicks to access them.
It may be an anomaly or a browser glitch. The mouse over initiatly doesn’t display the sublists on the side navigation bar but after an initial click, the mouse-over action starts to work until you make a selection. Next time you come back to the navigation bar, again it expands to show the icon descriptions but it doesn’t show the options. The user clicks and the mouse-over starts to work, if the works doesn’t select anything and moves the mouse away, upon returning to the navigation bar again he or she must click again.
It is an odd behavior that I don’t think is intended by the your US team.
I simple mouse-over action that displays the content of the bookmarks would eliminate the need for addional clicks.
Regards,
The new navigation is so bad that HubSpot has even disabled the “Share Navigation Feedback” link in the top-right user dropdown. Please bring back the orginal nav. My clients hate it and don’t understand why this was this necessary.
