sometimes it is lagging what can be the possible solution?
Hi @Suheb,
What exactly is lagging, can you please provide a bit more detail and context?
Generally, with a browser-based software like HubSpot, keep the following in mind:
- The more browser tabs you have opened, the worse the performance of each tab will be – making it look like HubSpot is lagging.
- Along that line, some devices are too old (not powerful enough) to run browser based software smoothly. If your machine does not have enough RAM or processing power, for example, that could lead to performance issues.
- Browser extensions take up computational power and can interfere with HubSpot, especially privacy-related ones. Turn off extensions to identify potential ones that slow HubSpot down or interfere.
- Make sure you’re using the latest version of a supported browser: Browsers supported by HubSpot
- Occasionally clear cache and cookies in your browser.
- If you’re typically putting your device into rest mode, make sure to turn it off entirely occasionally.
- Keep in mind that some tools in HubSpot (lists, workflows, reports to name a few) don’t perform in real time. The amounts of data to process are to high for results to be instantaneous so allow a few minutes for processing here, especially in larger portals (many workflow, many reports, many active lists, many scoring or calculation properties, large numbers of records).
- If you’re experiencing lag, check the HubSpot status page to confirm whether it’s you – or HubSpot: https://status.hubspot.com/
Keeping these things in mind, I’ve never had persisting issues with HubSpot in the past.
Best regards
@Suheb totally hear you a slow CRM can kill your workflow.
HubSpot usually runs smooth, but if it starts lagging, there are a few areas you can check to tighten things up. First, look at browser performance — HubSpot is pretty heavy on browser memory, so if you’ve got a ton of tabs or extensions running, that can drag things down.
Chrome is the most reliable for HubSpot, so if you’re using something else, try switching.
Second, check for big datasets. If you’re working with lists, views, or reports pulling thousands of records with lots of filters or calculated properties, that can slow down page loads.
Same goes for records with hundreds of timeline activities or custom properties — those pages can get chunky.
Third, if you’ve got a lot of integrations or workflows running in the background, especially if they fire on every contact/deal change, that adds load.
You can use the workflow history or integrations log to see if something’s constantly running and slowing things down. Fourth, network or VPN issues — if you’re remote or on a corporate VPN, that might mess with real-time sync or loading speeds.
Quick test: open HubSpot on your phone (on data) and see if it runs faster. If yes, it’s network.
Last thing, and often overlooked — browser extensions. Tools like ad blockers, privacy scripts, or form managers can interfere with how HubSpot loads.
Try running HubSpot in an incognito window with extensions off and see if that helps. If it runs smoother, you’ve found the issue. Let me know more about where you’re seeing the lag (specific tools like Deals, Contacts, Reports?) and I can help dig deeper or recommend specific fixes.
Hope this helps

Hi @Suheb
One of the biggest reasons can be how many operations you have occuring on a regular basis
For example, if you have a workflow hitting all your records everyday, like a calculation of days from a pticular date, that would add alot of strain
Thats for proerties and workflows
