How can I handle a HubSpot MDM profile on a MacBook in HubSpot?

I recently brought a 2nd hand macbook from a local marketplace and apparently has a hubspot MDM profile on it. Did contact my local police department about it to make sure it wasn’t stolen. But would love some help on finding out next steps I need to do if someone from the community who has had similar problems or a mod contact me to give me next steps I would be appreciative

Hi @olivia.drinkwine,

What does “MDM profile” mean or stand for? I haven’t come across HubSpot being bound to a device before.

Are you referring to a passkey? Set up and log in with passkeys

Best regards

MDM stands for Multi Device Management

I hope this helps clear things up and thanks for your reply

@olivia.drinkwine HubSpot is a browser-based solution - unless a passkey was set up on the device itself, HubSpot is not bound to specific devices.

What exactly makes you think or say that it has a HubSpot MDM profile? Can you share more context / screenshots?

It says it during the setup assistant think this computer was owned by hubspot inc itself at one point but this is my only outlet to get attention to the issue. So they have to unenroll/unlock it from their end

@CommunityTeam could you put @olivia.drinkwine in contact with HubSpot IT?

Dear Karsten,

Thank you so much for your help I’ll check on this tomorrow via mobile probably due to me going to be quite busy tomorrow mostly with business stuff (and yes at some point plan to use hubspot to generate donation leads) but that’s very much after I build a solid foundation for my business to stand on. And pardon grammar mistakes that was never my strong suite.

Sincerely,

Olivia Drinkwine

Hi @olivia.drinkwine and welcome to the HubSpot Community!

Thanks for explaining the situation and thanks so much @karstenkoehler for your help!

I’ll be in touch with you via DM about this and I’m also escalating this internally so the appropriate IT asset team can verify the details and see what can be done.

Thank you,

Bérangère
