I have worked on a website page from a template , but now I want to make changes to that page without changing any other page that has been created from the same template.
Can anyone explain how tempates work?
Thanks
Kristie

Hi @kristie
Templates are the underlying layout (and content) used to create pages.
You can make any changes you like to a page (in website pages) without affecting the underlying template.
If you want to make changes to template (to change the layout for example) you would have to clone the template first to avoid changing other pages.
Hope this helps.
Hi Phil
Thanks for your reply.
Can I clone the page if it is already live on the website?
Kristie
Hi @kristie
You can totally clone a live page to create a new one (that will not be live until published) for editing. When doing so, please be sure to check the URL of the new page in the settings tab of the editor as by default it will be the same as the original with ‘-0’ appended.
Hope this helps.
