Hi everyone,
My name is Bree. I would really like help building brand awareness through social media and don’t know where to start. Its been over a month from creating my website, to legal payments and contracts to researching how to get the appropriate clients.
My target auidence is between 18-30. So, i know the channels i need to use. However, everytime i make a plan i have no idea what content i should produce or where to start. this is a brand new business .. i am soo lost. Please helP!
Hi @grad2teacher,
I would recommend completing this free course on content strategy: https://academy.hubspot.com/courses/content-strategy - this will help you better understand content planning, content creation and content promotion.
On top of that, you can always leverage the AI tool of your choice (Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) with a prompt like the one below:
You are a social media content strategist helping me build brand
awareness for a brand-new business.
BUSINESS CONTEXT:
- Business name: Grad2Teacher
- What we do: [1-2 sentences — e.g., “We help [X type of graduates]
transition into teaching careers by providing Y and Z”]
- Stage: Brand new. Website, legal/payment setup, and initial client
research are done. Social media and content strategy have not started.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
- Age range: 18-30
- Who they are: [e.g., recent grads, career-changers, education
students — be as specific as you can]
- Their biggest pain point or question related to my business:
[fill in]
CHANNELS:
- I’ve already decided to focus on: [e.g., Instagram, TikTok —
fill in the ones you picked]
WHAT I NEED HELP WITH:
I don’t need help picking channels — I know that part. I need help
with CONTENT: what to actually post, in what format, and how often.
Please give me:
- 3-5 content “pillars” (recurring themes/categories) that make
sense for this audience and business
- 10 specific post ideas I could create THIS WEEK, mapped to those
pillars (mix of formats: video, carousel, static image, text post)
- A simple posting rhythm/frequency I can realistically sustain as
a solo founder just starting out
- One “low-lift” content idea I could post today with minimal
prep, just to get started
Keep it practical and specific to my business and audience — avoid
generic social media advice. Ask me clarifying questions first if
you need more detail to make this useful.
Hope this helps!
Hi Bree! Congratulations on launching your business. Starting from scratch can definitely feel overwhelming, but you’re already making progress by having your website and business set up.
I’d avoid trying to be on every social platform at once. Pick one or two where your audience spends the most time and stay consistent.
When you’re unsure what to post, think about the questions your ideal clients are asking. Your content could include:
-
Quick tips for graduates interested in becoming teachers.
-
Common mistakes or myths about getting into teaching.
-
Step-by-step guides explaining the application or qualification process.
-
Behind-the-scenes posts about building Grad2Teacher and why you started it.
-
Success stories or testimonials as you begin working with clients.
A simple content plan could be:
-
Monday: Educational tip.
-
Wednesday: Answer a frequently asked question.
-
Friday: Personal story or behind-the-scenes.
-
Weekend: A poll or question to encourage engagement.
Don’t worry about making everything perfect. Consistency and providing helpful information will build trust over time. You’ve already done one of the hardest parts—getting started. Wishing you the best!
