How can bulk edit handle 70,000 records in HubSpot data quality tool?

Problem:
The data quality tool flagged 70,000 contacts with missing/incorrect time zones; however UI pagination limits bulk fixes to 50 records at a time.

Even with bulk edit capabilities, making these updates takes an impractical amount of time.

Suggestion:
Expand the bulk edit feature to handle a higher volume of records at once.
In its current state, it’s unable to add enough value for enterprise level organizations.

Hi @Reolfi, That 50 record cap is a real bottleneck at your scale. In the meantime, a workaround that’s faster than the UI: export the flagged contacts as a list, correct the time zone field in bulk via spreadsheet, then re-import to update via the Import tool, which doesn’t have that same 50 record ceiling since it’s a property update import rather than a UI bulk edit. Also worth submitting this directly as a formal Idea in HubSpot’s Ideas Forum rather than just a discussion post, since product prioritizes features based on vote count there, not community threads.

For a volume this large, I’d recommend using the import tool (as @TeeTech mentioned) or API-based batch updates.

That said, I completely understand how this would be beneficial to have in the UI, so, like @karstenkoehler suggested adding your upvote and comment on this existing idea " Fix Formatting Issues Bulk Fix " would be great!

I can see that this Idea is now In Development! This means that our engineers are actively building this feature. The product development process is always filled with unexpected bumps and hurdles, so I can’t give a timeline, but I am confident in saying we’ll deliver this feature as soon as possible.
