Hey HubSpot Community,
I am reaching out to seek guidance on creating a custom report within HubSpot for a specific LinkedIn Ads campaign targeting accounts with various job seniorities.
Our current campaign on LinkedIn does not employ contact tracking; however, we have a wealth of data accessible through the LinkedIn Advertising platform. I am looking to harness this data to manually build a report that reflects account engagement accurately.
Could anyone advise on the best practices for transferring LinkedIn Ads data into HubSpot and setting up a report that measures account engagement effectively? Any tips on mapping LinkedIn data fields to HubSpot properties or creating custom metrics within HubSpot would be immensely appreciated.
Thank you for your time and assistance. I am eager to learn from the wealth of knowledge within this community.
Thanks!
Hi @KarimElg,
It’s lovely to see you posting in the Community, thank you!
I found these resources that might help you:
- Connect your LinkedIn Ads account to HubSpot
- LinkedIn Ads integration
- Track and report on your LinkedIn ads in HubSpot
- The solution from @jolle on this post “How to track contact’s engagement on Linkedin”
I also wanted to invite a couple of subject matter experts to this conversation: Hi @HFisher7, @KTownsend and @danmoyle do you have any tips to share to help @KarimElg, please?
If anybody else has anything to add and/or share, please feel free to join in the conversation
Thank you very much
and have a wonderful day!

Hi @KarimElg! My advice is to connect HubSpot and LinkedIn first. The data will be shared. From there, the only way to easily import data into contact records is to have their email - it’s the unique identifier in HubSpot for contacts. I don’t know of a way to force data into HubSpot and let it just find the connections. You’d have to have a connection and point of reference to connect the LinkedIn data to HubSpot contacts.
