I have downgraded my content hub starter to a free website builder.
Somehow, I have ended up with a sandbox developer account which says I cannot connect a domain to.
My company website now doesn’t work.
I didn’t want a developer sandbox, so how do I get it changed back to a normal non-sandbox account?
This is what i see when I go to add a domain.
Can anyone help?
Hi @sawbocoder1,
HubSpot portal types don’t convert from regular to sandbox, at least I have never encountered this. You should be able to switch to your regular portal by following these steps: Manage multiple HubSpot accounts
Best regards
Hi Karsten,
I HAD a fully functioning website which now says I can not add a domain becasue I have am using a developer sandbox. I understand what a developer sandbox is but i did not create a sandbox. I think there is an error or bug somewhere that is flagging my account as a sandbox. It is not.
@sawbocoder1 when you attempt to change the portal, as per the link I shared, what do you see?
I have lots of portals that I have access to, I used to be a hubspot partner.
@sawbocoder1 can you confirm that the portal ID of the account you’re accessing (which now appears to be a sandbox) is the same as before?
yes its still got all the original content in it, all the contact etc. Just it wont let me connect the domain which was originally connected or any other domain because it is now a sandbox.
@sawbocoder1 in that case it’s probably best to reach out to HubSpot support directly in-app, via chat or email.
I have already tried contacting them in app though the chat and now that I am a free user all you get through to is sales people who dont want to help.
@CommunityTeam could you please assist here?
Hi @sawbocoder1 and Happy New Year! Thanks for the tag @karstenkoehler!
Thank you for asking the HubSpot Community!
I understand that you don’t want and never created a Developer Sandbox. Also you’d like to connect a domain to HubSpot but you cannot at the moment. Please let me know if that’s not the case.
Can you please send me your Account (Hub) ID via private message so that I can look into this for you @sawbocoder1?
Thanks,
Best,
Bérangère
The most direct approach is to reach out to HubSpot Support. Explain the situation clearly. Provide them with your account details and any relevant screenshots. HubSpot Support should be able to investigate the issue and assist you in reverting your account to a standard non-sandbox account.
As I am now a free account the only support i can access is either sales people or help via the community. One of the community managers has asked me to DM the hub id so hopefully they will be able to sort it
