Has anyone seen this before? - Non-Removable link that is unrelated to LinkedIn content

I started to post more social content using the Social tool in HubSpot Marketing.

My most recent post to LinkedIn (image attached) ended up with a non-removable link to a website that is completely unrelated to my content.
I think because I had one paragraph end with a period and the next sentence start with the word “It” HubSpot assumed I had input a TLD from Italy, in this case true.it
Anyone else experienced this with other examples?
I am sure the grammar experts will say I shouldn’t start a sentence with It but that is just my writing style…

Hi @jimbanks,

Thanks for reaching out!

Are you still experiencing this behavior with LinkedIn? If so, would you mind recording a Loom video of yourself posting to LinkedIn and sharing the video with me via DM?

Would you be able to confirm if you are seeing this behavior only on LinkedIn or are you seeing it across other social media channels?

Thank you!

All the best,

Kristen

Hi @jimbanks,

Thank you for your patience while I was looking into this!

For future posts, you’ll want to ensure that there’s a space after any text that ends with a period that could then potentially be caught as a link (depending on what text follows). This won’t change the way the post appears on the social network site, but it’ll ensure that no links get previewed!

Let me know if that helps :slightly_smiling_face:

Best,

Kristen
